IMPORTANT - NEED CENSUS RESPONSE!
IF YOU HAVE NOT RESPONDED TO THE 2020 CENSUS, PLEASE BE SURE TO DO SO SOON! Your response helps to direct billions of dollars in federal funds to states and local communities for schools, roads, and other public services. Results from the 2020 Census will be also be used to determine the number of seats each state has in Congress and your political representation at all levels of government. Georgia's response rate today is a pitiful 49th in the country, meaning we will lose out on both money, and potentially representation, to almost all other states.
You can respond to the 2020 census online at my2020census.gov, which takes approximately five minutes to complete. Households may also call 844.330.2020 or fill out and return the official U.S. Census Bureau mail that they may have received. Households only have through October 31 to respond to the census, so don't waste any time doing so!
It is our understanding that the State Health Benefit Plan will comply with the nationally announced guidelines for covering expenses for the COVID-19. Specifically, telehealth with your physician’s office will be covered. Members of the Medicare Advantage plans will have coverage for “telehealth” and coverage for testing (at no cost) as prescribed by Medicare. SHPB Retirees (and actives) who are under age 65 will also have access to testing without copay (although if the test is in conjunction with a doctor’s office visit, the office visit copay may be required). You may get additional information from The CDC or The GA Dept of Public Health. In the meantime, follow all the national and state guidelines to stay as safe as you possibly can.
